Ilva accidentally falls in love with a German officer while trying to rescue her father, leading to a breakup with her first love. After the officer leaves, she simultaneously falls for two American soldiers, Jim and Bob, with Jim eventually becoming her first husband and even murdering his friend Bob to win her. Ultimately, she finds her true love, her divorce attorney Simon, just as she is about to finalize her divorce.
