Sixteen-year-old Jamie (Lucas Pittaway) lives with his two younger brothers,Alex (Marcus Howard) and Nicholas (Matthew Howard), in a close-knit life with their mother. The family resides in a community specifically built by the government for the impoverished, surrounded by neighbors who are also homeless and from the lower social strata. Jamie lives in oppression and pain every day, while his younger brothers are unaware of their circumstances and spend their days being mischievous. Their mother is disheartened and constantly complains about their situation. Jamie longs to escape his family and this place. At this moment, a man named John (Daniel Henshall) enters Jamie's life. This tall, humorous man fulfills all of Jamie's fantasies about a father figure. As time goes on, Jamie's relationship with John becomes increasingly intimate, and he even moves in with John. However, gradually, John reveals a hidden side to his character.
