The story begins in August 1976, when young Fergus meets his lifelong best friend, Frankie. A deep and sincere friendship forms between the two innocent boys. As they grow up, they both join the British Special Forces, serving their country. Time swiftly moves to 2004, when the resigned Fergus and Frankie decide to go to Baghdad to form their own security team. However, in an unfortunate incident, Frankie loses his life. Fergus is unwilling to accept the police's ambiguous and flawed closure report, so he decides to investigate the truth behind his friend's death on his own. The only person supporting and assisting Fergus is Frankie's lover, Rachel. As they search for evidence and get closer to the truth, a beautiful relationship develops between them.
