Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Richard Linklater, this slick new film noir features Glenn Powell as the lead. He plays the uptight professor Gary Johnson—a part-time fake hitman for the New Orleans Police Department. Gary possesses an unusual talent for impersonating different people to capture the unlucky ones hoping to fend off their enemies. When he finds himself attracted to a potential criminal, he is faced with a moral dilemma: the criminal is a beautiful young woman named Madison (played by Adria Arjona). As Madison falls for one of the killer roles Gary plays (the mysterious and sexy Ron), their ambiguous relationship triggers a chain reaction of acting, deception, and escalating stakes. "Hit Man," co-created by Linklater and Powell, is based on an incredible true story and cleverly depicts identity within an existential comedy.
