The Five Poisons Sect is a notorious sect in the martial arts world. The old master relies on medicinal baths to sustain his old age, with only one disciple, Yang De (played by Jiang Sheng). Realizing that the sect has committed numerous evil deeds, the old master orders Yang De to clean up the sect and search for his master's treasure. Yang De's five senior brothers each practice five types of martial arts derived from poisonous creatures: Centipede (played by Lu Feng), Snake (played by Wei Bai), Scorpion (played by Sun Jian), Gecko (played by Guo Zhui), and Toad (played by Luo Mang). Yang De disguises himself as a beggar and skillfully investigates a county town, where he coincidentally encounters his hidden master uncle, Lao Fuzi's family, who has been exterminated. The murderers are actually his eldest and second senior brothers. Although Captain He, the fifth senior brother who practices Toad Kung Fu, assists in capturing the eldest senior brother, the county magistrate colludes with the second senior brother to imprison and kill the fifth senior brother. The third senior brother often meets with the second senior brother masked, controlling the situation from behind the scenes. Yang De discovers that Captain He is his fourth senior brother and reveals his identity to him. The two decide to join forces to eliminate the eldest and second senior brothers. The third senior brother lurking in the shadows decides to take action...
