Kiss the Ground is a documentary that explores the first viable, low-cost way to reverse climate change through soil. If managed properly, soil (also known as "dirt") has the potential to sequester most of the carbon dioxide that humanity has emitted into the atmosphere. There's just one problem: our modern, industrialized, monoculture-based agriculture is killing the microbes in the soil that are essential for carbon sequestration ("biomediation"). But there is hope. A radical coalition of scientists, farmers, ranchers, activists, and government agencies is coming together to launch a new agricultural movement globally known as "regenerative agriculture," which can enhance soil health, store water, and sequester carbon dioxide. These individuals come from different backgrounds, but they share a common commitment to heal the world's soils before it's too late. Kiss the Ground is a powerful story about tackling one of humanity's greatest challenges.
