The story takes place in a rural village far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. On a cool summer night, a creamy yellow moon hangs high in the sky. In a nearby household, an old woman sits on an old rocking chair at her doorstep, holding an orange. When the orange rolls away, her thoughts inevitably drift back seventy years to a promise that has remained unchanged across time, one she has not forgotten for a long time. Back then, the old woman was a young girl whose orange was snatched away by a little boy. After a brief conflict, the girl burst into tears. To cheer her up, the boy played a grass flute and made funny faces. The two little ones quickly became good friends, and the boy gave the girl a new orange, but the girl wanted the moon in the sky. The boy came up with an idea: they would plant the oranges on the mountaintop. One day, a tall orange tree would grow, and as it grew bigger, they would be able to climb the tree and reach the moon. This was the children's promise, unchanged for decades…
