In her panic, Jessica randomly dials a number for help, and her call reaches a young man named Ryan (played by Chris Evans). At first, Ryan thinks it's a prank, but then the captor discovers that Jessica is trying to call for help and smashes the phone. Hearing the captor's shouting and Jessica's cries, Ryan realizes the situation is serious. After the captor leaves, Jessica uses her knowledge from her science class to reassemble the phone and reconnects with Ryan. Through her account, Ryan learns that the captor will soon target her husband and son, and Jessica doesn't even know where she is. Time is running out for Ryan, and his phone battery is limited. He must do everything he can to save Jessica's family.
