The Pharaoh grew increasingly uneasy about the rising number of Hebrews in his kingdom, harboring unfounded suspicions against them. He commanded all Hebrews to become slaves and ordered that all newborn Hebrew boys be thrown into the river. One day, a Hebrew woman gave birth to a beautiful boy, and in order to save him, she placed him in a basket and set him adrift on the Nile. The queen found the beautiful boy by the river and took him back to the palace to raise him, naming him Moses. Moses grew up alongside Prince Ramses, and they became the best of friends. Moses strongly opposed the Pharaoh's tyranny against the Hebrews, and one time, in an attempt to stop an Egyptian from harming a Hebrew, he accidentally killed him. To escape the Pharaoh's punishment, Moses fled to Midian. Soon after, the Pharaoh died, and Ramses became the new Pharaoh. Moses initially thought Ramses would change the tyrannical policies against the Hebrews, but Ramses became even more oppressive. Under God's guidance, Moses learned of his true heritage and decided to lead the Hebrews out of their plight.
