"Magic Kid" is the last film in Disney's 1970s super-powered kid series. The story's protagonist is still the adventurous college student Dexter Riley, who finds himself in trouble again. This time, he and his friends accidentally mix a vitamin cereal with a chemical potion in the lab, creating miraculous effects. At first, they give the cereal to the dairy cow next door, and to their surprise, the cow is bursting with energy and provides an endless supply of milk. Later on, Dexter Riley accidentally consumes it himself and becomes a strongman, easily lifting objects weighing dozens of pounds. Dean Higgins of the school hears this news and assumes that this brand of cereal has miraculous properties. To ensure the school team wins the weightlifting competition, he strikes a deal with the cereal manufacturer run by his relatives, unaware that all the effects are due to the chemical potion added by Dexter Riley. Meanwhile, a rival cereal manufacturer grows suspicious and sends someone to secretly sabotage and investigate the truth behind the matter.
