This drama is based on a true story, inspired by the real events surrounding the murder of filmmaker Roman Polanski's wife. In August 1969, in Los Angeles, under Manson's leadership, his followers committed a series of murders, killing 7 people over two days, leaving messages of terror at the crime scenes... In the late 1960s, significant changes began to occur in the United States. The Vietnam War was lost, an economic crisis erupted, and the human rights movement emerged... In this society of collapsing values, many sought a path to liberation, leading a group of people to embrace the hippie culture advocating "Make Love, Not War," calling themselves "The Children of Flowers," numbing themselves with drugs and promiscuous sex; while another group firmly believed that Charles Manson was the incarnate of Christ, worshipping him as their spiritual leader, living in his family and executing his murder plans to create the ideal society he envisioned. The film narrates the lifestyle of the notorious murderer Charles Manson in American history and the process by which his family members committed brutal killings.
