One side is an endless abyss, and the other is a sheer cliff. When she regains consciousness, she finds herself in a dangerous situation, with life and death just an arm's length away. Should she wait for death, or fight for survival? She explores the possibility of living with her broken body, but in such dire circumstances, the weather turns against her, and a storm is about to arrive… This film was shot by Australian director Tim Egan, who took just 8 hours from the initial concept to the shooting script. The short film script was inspired by two critical moments in the director's life— a serious car accident and a conversation with a dejected friend. "I still remember the feeling of my fingers gripping the wet pavement." At that time, he was knocked down in the lane of a busy traffic center, helplessly lying between the asphalt, vulnerable to being run over by a second vehicle at any moment. It is undeniable that the director's personal experience gives him a more profound understanding of the fear of death and the instinct for survival. The film's details are extraordinary, with each action of the character being a matter of life and death. While sharing this suffocating tension, the inner strength under harsh external conditions seems so fragile. With this dark, minimalist short film, Tim Egan won numerous awards including the Official Selection Award at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, the Best Short Film Award at the Sitges Film Festival in Spain, the Fantastic Fest in the USA, the Golden Eye Award at the PIFFF in France, and the Best Short Film Award at the TIFF in Russia.
