On Halloween Eve, a phone call from her ex-husband Randy disrupts Emily's otherwise quiet and orderly life. From that day on, Emily begins to receive strange text messages: "Do you see me?" and soon, she actually starts to see a clown greeting her in various places. With Halloween approaching, when Emily mentions seeing the clown and being followed by it, she is met with either laughter or various baseless speculations.
