In the sleepless city of New York, filled with bizarre sights and nightly revelries, people are lost in a dreamlike world of wine and beautiful women, having long forgotten the lurking danger hidden in the shadows. One night, a prostitute is brutally murdered, and Officer Fred Williams (played by Jack Hedley) is assigned to investigate the case. During his inquiry with the landlady (played by Babette New), he learns that the victim had conversed with a mysterious man with a peculiar voice the previous night. Soon after, the body count rises, with all the victims being young women and suffering horrific fates. Williams concludes that a deranged serial killer is on the loose.
