Their beloved daughter Alice is bitten to death by a rabid dog. Veterinarian Patrick Daley (played by Aidan Gillen) and his wife Louise (played by Eva Birthistle) move to the remote town of Awakening Wood, seeking the courage to continue their lives. Their life seems ordinary, but the sorrow and despair of losing their daughter never fade, constantly disturbing the Daleys' nerves. Awakening Wood appears calm and peaceful, but beneath this facade, it seems to hide unknown secrets.
