Knut, the little polar bear from Berlin Zoo, is currently the most beloved little creature in the city, having recently been voted "the most important resident of Berlin" in a poll held by a television station. The adorable little Knut attracts countless visitors to the zoo every day. He immediately captured the spotlight upon his debut, quickly becoming the treasure of Berlin Zoo. This cute little polar bear has a heartbreaking backstory. Last December, after giving birth to Knut and his twin brother, the mother bear abandoned them in the cave. Knut's brother soon died, but little Knut was fortunate enough to be rescued by the keepers. Since then, Knut's life has changed dramatically, drinking milk, eating fish oil, enjoying chicken soup, and cuddling with a teddy bear while he sleeps. However, this pampered upbringing has drawn criticism from some animal conservationists. They believe it undermines the natural instincts of wildlife. Some have even suggested that Knut should be euthanized. Yet, looking into Knut's innocent big eyes, no one could bring themselves to do it. Ultimately, Berlin Zoo decided to keep Knut. The zoo's director stated that with global warming and increased human activity near the Arctic, polar bears are facing serious threats to their existence. Scientists predict that, if conditions continue as they are, polar bears could be extinct within 100 years. Hence, the adorable little Knut appears even more precious. The documentary "Knut und seine Freunde" tells the story of how little polar bear Knut conquered the world.
