To develop a new drug, a hunter (played by Willem Dafoe) is commissioned by the Red Leaf Pharmaceutical Company to embark on a journey to capture the nearly extinct species, the Tasmanian tiger, while residing in the home of a family of three, where the male head of the household has been missing for half a year, set against the majestic backdrop of the Tasmanian plains. Meanwhile, as the hunter struggles with the search, he develops feelings for the female head of the household and the two children, witnessing the severe environmental crisis facing the Tasmanian plains. He uncovers the mystery behind the male host's disappearance and discovers traces of the Tasmanian tiger, leading him to deduce various vested interests behind the scenes. Consequently, the hired hunter decides to stop hunting and focus on the orphaned family. The vested interest group becomes furious and sends in new hunters. What will happen to the hunter, the family of three, and the endangered Tasmanian tiger?
