The unassuming veteran Barney Ross (played by Sylvester Stallone) lives in a corner of the city, but he is actually the leader of a special forces team that includes experts like Lee (played by Jason Statham) and Yang (played by Jet Li). As the saying goes, the more skilled one is, the bolder they become; as long as the reward is sufficient, they are willing to take on even the most dangerous missions. One day, Mr. Church (played by Bruce Willis) from the CIA contacts Barney and hires them to go to the island of Vilena in South America to eliminate the dictatorial general Garsa (played by David Zayas) who opposes the U.S. government.
Due to the perilous nature of the mission, Barney and Lee go ahead to scout the area and discover that Garsa is in collusion with former CIA officer James Monroe, brutally oppressing the people of Vilena. Soon, Barney and his comrades make their way to the island, where an even greater challenge awaits these valiant warriors...
