The film is adapted from Agatha Christie's novel "Murder on the Eve of Halloween." Set in post-World War II Venice during a peculiar Halloween Eve, retired famous detective Hercule Poirot (played by Kenneth Branagh) is living a quiet life in one of the most enchanting cities in the world. Reluctantly, he is invited to a dilapidated, eerie mansion for a gathering. When one of the guests is murdered, Poirot gets drawn into a sinister world filled with shadows and secrets.
