Young Ding Peng (played by Er Dongsheng) comes from humble beginnings. After mastering the ancestral "Meteor from Beyond the Sky" sword technique, he challenges various martial arts experts, hoping to make a name for himself and bring honor to his family. However, the Wudang sect leader Liu Ruosong (played by Wang Rong) instructs his wife Xiaoxiao (played by Lin Jianming) to devise a scheme that leads to Ding Peng losing his sword manual and his reputation being ruined. Ding Peng, in despair, goes to a desolate area to end his suffering but is stopped by a woman named Qingqing (played by Angela Wang) who refers to herself as "Fox Ghost." The two then practice martial arts in a paradise-like boundary between humans and ghosts and become a couple. A year later, Ding Peng has mastered the Round Moon Curved Blade technique and is invincible in the world, disregarding Qingqing's objections and insisting on seeking revenge. The two retaliate against Liu Ruosong, ruining his reputation. Full of ambition, Ding Peng travels to Divine Sword Villa to challenge Third Young Master Xie Xiaofeng (played by Yue Hua). Although Third Young Master tries to enlighten Ding Peng, he is unable to do so, leading Ding Peng to abandon Qingqing and marry into the Nangong family. Continuous vendettas and the true identity of Qingqing soon awaken Ding Peng to the realities of the martial world.
