A top-secret British military spy ship explodes in Greece, sinking to the seabed with a powerful missile launcher on board (reportedly capable of crippling the entire Polaris missile system). This sparks interest not only from the British military but also from spies and terrorists around the world. Thus, 007 Bond (played by Roger Moore) is dispatched with the mission to destroy the missile launcher as quickly as possible. At the same time, Mr. Havelock is unfortunately assassinated while searching for the device, and his daughter Melina (played by Carole Bouquet) is determined to avenge her father.
