Peter Garrison (played by Michael Douglas) is a secret service agent in the White House and the personal bodyguard of the First Lady. His 20-year career as an agent and the incident in which he saved the president from an assassination attempt have made him a star in the Secret Service. However, Peter never expected that one day he would become a target himself. Peter receives news that Nazi agents have infiltrated the White House and a plot to assassinate the president is brewing. The agent Charlie, who had the leads, is brutally murdered shortly after. Competent agent David (played by Kiefer Sutherland) and rookie Marlene (played by Eva Longoria) are assigned to the case and conduct lie detector tests on all agents. However, Peter fails the test, and his ambiguous relationship with the First Lady begins to circulate in the agency, leading to him being seen as the presumed assassin. As everyone intensifies their pursuit of Peter, the real killer is drawing closer to the president step by step. To protect the president, the only way for the fugitive Peter is to convince David and Marlene to work together in capturing the real culprit, which might change the course of events…
