It tells the story of the adventure of two elementary school students in Nagasaki, Kyushu, in 1986. Takaki Kyuta (played by Ban'ya Ichiro), who loves Yuki Saito and is passionate about collecting "Kinnikuman" erasers, grows up in a loving environment despite his parents often arguing. Kyuta and Take-moto (played by Harada Kono) who is bullied by classmates, seize an opportunity to visit Boomerang Island in Nagasaki to search for traces of dolphins. Although they face many difficulties, this adventure helps them become good friends; however, an unexpected incident leads to significant changes in their friendship.
