After working hard for most of his life at the Sète port, worker Simon (played by Habib Boufares) is dismissed, feeling both angry and helpless, his struggles against his boss proving futile. As his career falters, his relationships with his family become strained; his ex-wife, lover, and children all express disappointment in him. Just when Simon feels cornered, his lover’s daughter, Rim (played by Hafsia Herzi), steps in to help. With her encouragement, Simon plans to open a restaurant on an abandoned boat, but doubts from investors about his assets almost derail the deal. However, Simon regains his courage and confidence in life. He gradually helps his family emerge from the shadows, but just as they are preparing the menu for the restaurant, they encounter unprecedented troubles... This film won the Jury Special Prize at the 64th Venice Film Festival.
