A monk from the South American rainforest unexpectedly encounters an aimless Frenchman, Peling, in an elevator. He feels an immediate connection with Peling, who, despite his cold and disinterested attitude, allows the monk to sleep in his hotel room. The next day, halfway through an official visit, the monk unexpectedly suffers a heart attack. After being urgently hospitalized and unable to speak, he insists on seeing Peling, who reluctantly goes to the hospital. From the moment these two met in the elevator, it seems everything was destined; now, expressing hatred towards each other has probably become quite difficult…
