Middle-aged man Kong Lingxue (played by Fan Wei) is a Chinese teacher at a martial arts school in a city in Northeast China. He is serious and responsible in class, but unfortunately faces a group of new-age students who are ignorant and have no interest in the beautiful language of their motherland. During one class, he confiscates the mobile phone of a girl named Liu Meng (played by Bai Huizi) and subsequently interferes when a young man named Axiang (played by Zhi Yi) tries to fight over her. This leads to a series of troubles for him. Axiang starts to stalk Kong Lingxue after work every day, claiming he wants to "help hardworking Teacher Kong pick up his children from school," which leaves the generally honest Kong Lingxue quite alarmed. In an attempt to shake off this persistent young man, he tries various methods every day, but Axiang eventually figures out his daughter's school and home address. Throughout this process, Kong Lingxue's life gradually turns into a tangled mess... This film is adapted from Hu Xuewen's original novel "The Great Wind Rises."
