This film is adapted from a bestselling novel. During his senior year, Taiwanese youth Zhang Shuhao (played by Zhang Shuhao) faces the death of his brother and finds himself in a state of confusion. He unexpectedly discovers his brother's cycling journal, which inspires him, a non-cyclist, to ride the Yunnan-Tibet route to fulfill his brother's unfinished wishes. After experiencing the departure of his girlfriend, he rushes to Lijiang. On the way, Zhang Shuhao meets a cyclist from Yunnan, Li Xiaochuan (played by Li Xiaochuan), and they decide to travel together to Lhasa. On the fifth day, they arrive in Deqin, where Li Xiaochuan is devastated after missing the thirteen peaks of Meili shrouded in mist. On the sixth day, they stay with a Tibetan family in Yanjing, and Shuhao has a bittersweet farewell with the simple-hearted Tibetans. On the seventh day, they struggle on the mountain roads of Quzika, where Li Xiaochuan accidentally falls off a cliff and is seriously injured. The winter Yunnan-Tibet route is particularly perilous, and Zhang Shuhao must continue the journey alone...
