Ren Mu Ying (played by Tony Leung) is a single father who raises his daughter Ellen (played by Charlene Choi) by teaching her piano. However, after Ellen advances to Band 5, she becomes increasingly rebellious, which worries Ren Mu Ying greatly. Ellen has always thought her dad is very "feminine" and believes that he is an unreliable person when she encounters trouble. Ellen's classmates mistakenly think her dad is a martial arts master—Mu Ye Fei Ying— and subsequently ask to be his disciples; it is at this point that Ellen starts to change her view of her father. However, Ren Mu Ying is mistakenly believed to possess extraordinary skills that were only developed while caring for his daughter.
