Wei Chenggong (played by Wei Xiang) is very passionate about acting, but due to his unremarkable appearance, he often can only land a supporting role in films. Nevertheless, he treats each of his roles, even those without names, with utmost seriousness, which catches the attention of the popular star Milan (played by Ma Li). Milan's brother, Miller (played by Huang Cailun), is a film director. The gangster boss Harvey (played by Chen Minghao) has invested a substantial amount in his film, but it turns out to be a complete failure. Harvey has long admired Milan and wants to marry her, but she is resolutely against it. One day, when Harvey decides to settle accounts with the siblings, Milan tells him that she knows the killer Carl (played by Allen) that he has been searching for.
