Audrey (Halle Berry) and her husband Brian (David Duchovny) have been married for 11 years, raising a pair of children together, living a happy and peaceful life. One day, Brian dies while intervening in a dispute involving a stranger's family, and Audrey's once calm life is suddenly turned upside down.
