In 1241, the Mongol army led by Genghis Khan's sons swept westward, leaving devastation in their wake. Upon reaching the Carpathian Mountains, local hunters, the Berkut brothers, secretly infiltrated the Mongolian camp and released the hostages. An enraged Mongol general decides to take revenge by destroying the local settlements in the Carpathians. A traitor among the locals reveals to the Mongols the secret mountain passages, but a small group of mountain hunters led by the Berkut brothers has their own plans to thwart the Mongol attack.
