Hundreds of gangs across New York City gather together that night in response to the call of the underground king Cyrus. Each gang sends nine unarmed members to attend Cyrus's gang summit. Cyrus delivers a passionate speech, urging all gangs to adhere to the truce agreement and unite their hostility against the police. However, during the speech, Cyrus is shot and killed. A member of the "Warriors" from Coney Island witnesses the murderer but is falsely accused by the rival gang. In the chaos, the Warriors hastily flee the scene. The gang summit then sends out a message, instructing gangs everywhere to intercept the Warriors as they return to Coney Island. Meanwhile, with their leader Cleon missing, Swan (played by Michael Beck) leads the other seven in facing the perilous night ahead, where they will encounter a double blockade from both rival gangs and the police. To make it back to their territory, they must fight their way through...
