The annual Purge Night is approaching, and the U.S. presidential election is in full swing. On one side is Edwidge Owens, the spokesperson for the NFFA, which established and enforces the Purge, and on the other side is Senator Charlie Roan (played by Elizabeth Mitchell), who lost her family to the horrific killings. Charlie is determined to abolish the Purge at any cost, making her a target for the NFFA, which plans to take her life on Purge Night. Strong-willed Charlie insists on staying at home that night, while her head of security, Leo (played by Frank Grillo), is fully prepared to face opponents from all directions. Due to an inside agent, Leo is forced to escape with Roan from their safe house. Along the way, they receive help from supporters, while their adversaries will stop at nothing to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...
