Lawrence Talbot (played by Benicio Del Toro) has been estranged from his family for years due to painful memories from his childhood. One day, while performing in London, Lawrence is contacted by his brother Benjamin's fiancée, Gwen Conliffe (played by Emily Blunt), who informs him of Benjamin's tragic death and urges him to return to their hometown, the Blackmoor, to investigate. Lawrence returns to the place where he grew up, hoping not only to find his brother's killer but also to uncover the truth behind his mother’s mysterious death many years ago. The once idyllic Blackmoor is now gripped by fear as people are being attacked and killed, with various rumors about a monster appearing on the night of the full moon. During his investigation, Lawrence finally encounters the legendary creature—a werewolf—and in the process of chasing it, he is bitten. After recovering from the wound, Lawrence starts to feel changes within himself, confirming the legend that a person bitten by a werewolf will transform into one...
