The reboot of "Child's Play" reveals its first poster, with the dangerous doll Chucky returning in a brand new way. Directed by Lars Klevberg, known for "Polaroid," the new version of "Child's Play" showcases the classic killer doll Chucky making a fresh comeback. Starring Aubrey Plaza from "Ingrid Goes West" and Brian Tyree Henry from "Atlanta," filming began this week in Vancouver. In this new version, Plaza plays a mother who gives her son a doll as a birthday gift, unaware of the doll's dangerous nature. The film is based on the original 1988 version, but the series' writer Don Mancini and producer David Kirshner are not involved in this reboot. In fact, the two are currently busy with more original "Child's Play" films and related potential projects. MGM's reboot of "Child's Play" will clearly distinguish itself from the well-known original Chucky and compete with it.
