On the surface, the relationship between Christine (played by Kristin Scott Thomas) and Isabelle (played by Ludivine Sagnier) seems to be a perfect example of a boss-subordinate dynamic; however, in reality, deep-seated animosity has already taken root between them. For Christine, Isabelle's talent is a cash cow, and through a series of unethical means, Christine has exploited Isabelle to garner significant benefits for herself. In contrast, for Isabelle, her boss's domineering and forceful nature constantly oppresses her, making it impossible for her to turn her situation around, and her daily life of submitting to humiliation seems endless. The suppressed conflicts are bound to erupt one day; to take revenge on Christine, Isabelle devises an intricate murder plot. Can Isabelle truly carry out such a ruthless act? Will her plan succeed?
