This is a story about rock, love, and friendship. Leningrad, a summer in the early 1980s: rock music was all the rage locally. Viktor Tsoï is a young musician who, like other young people, is captivated by the music of Led Zeppelin and David Bowie, trying to make a name for himself in the rock scene. One day, he meets his idol Mike and his beautiful wife Natacha. This encounter changes his destiny dramatically.
