A poor girl receives special favor from the goddess of fate, Man Shen (Chen Hong). After growing up, she becomes the beloved princess Qingcheng (Zhang Baizhi), but because of this, she is also cursed by the fateful spell that says, "You will never obtain true love unless time reverses and the dead are resurrected." In the battle of love against Beigong Jue Wuhuan (Xie Tingfeng) and General Guangming (Sanada Hiroyuki), Qingcheng is repeatedly used as a pawn, and the spell comes true. However, the lowly slave Kunlun Nu (Zhang Dongjian) truly loves Qingcheng. He hopes to break the chains of fate binding her by running at near-light speed, allowing her to return to the starting point of her life and regain the right to choose.
