OL Saya Suzuki (played by Masaki Suda) works in the planning department of the Toyo Hotel and has gone through an eight-year relationship dry spell. During her student years, she fell in love with her childhood friend, but fate forced them apart after a brief attempt to elope. Now, her first love, Tora Hino (played by Kento Nagayama), has become a somewhat well-known film star, while Saya is overwhelmed by her sadistic boss, Akira Tsuge (played by Tadayuki Okura).
