This story takes place within a mere 24 hours, yet it is filled with absurdity, misunderstandings, and the intertwining of fate. The unemployed security chief of a hot pot factory, Yong Ge (played by Li Yixiang), reluctantly takes arowana fish from the factory’s owner to help his brother-in-law, who is in debt due to gambling. However, he never expected that this ordinary arowana would hide a TF card inside it, revealing a dark secret about a state-owned property deal. Yong Ge and his friends quickly find themselves embroiled in an ever-expanding “underworld” conflict. Various characters emerge, all vying for that seemingly ordinary arowana: the unscrupulous hot pot factory owner, the boss of a gang, the head of an underground gambling den, the general manager of a real estate company, and even hired “hitmen.” The intertwined interests among these characters lead to escalating misunderstandings and confrontations, resulting in a series of bloody incidents with bodies strewn everywhere. Yet, despite being in danger, Yong Ge remains clueless about the conflict he has gotten into. He simply acts to save someone, inadvertently triggering a farcical chain of events that lands him in an unprecedented predicament, making his fate a pawn in this dispute.
