Vorlauf (played by Edgar G. Ulmer) is a liquor agent who coincidentally encounters an actress named Christa on the street. The two hit it off immediately and have a pleasant conversation. Vorlauf invites Christa to join him for a weekend getaway in the countryside. That day, Christa also brings along her good friend Brigitte (played by Brigitte Borchert). The taxi driver Erwin (played by Erwin Splettstößer), who is Vorlauf's best friend, also joins the outing. Erwin initially wanted to invite his girlfriend Annie, but she doesn't like going out, so he goes alone. The four young people spend a very free and happy day together, during which Vorlauf becomes deeply attracted to the beautiful Brigitte and quickly forgets about Christa.
