The story takes place in 1930s Greece, where the naive and beautiful Osha (played by Penelope Tsilika) falls in love with the handsome naval lieutenant Spiros (played by Andreas Constantinou). However, Spiros has a duty to fulfill and is about to set sail, so they make a promise of love, and Osha decides to quietly wait for her beloved's return on a small island. Unfortunately, Osha's mother unilaterally decides to marry her daughter off to a captain named Nix (played by Maximos Moumouris), solely because he has strong financial means. Although Osha is extremely reluctant, she cannot defy her mother's wishes, so she concedes; however, in her heart, she has never forgotten her feelings for Spiros. One day, Osha receives news that shatters her, as her sister is engaged, and her fiancée is none other than Spiros.
