Aoyanagi Masaharu (played by Sakai Masato), a young man who works for a delivery service in Sendai, is sensitive, kind, and gentle. Two years ago, he became a local hero after rescuing the popular star Rinako (played by Kanda Shihori) from a threat by a criminal. One day, he receives an invitation from his college friend Morita Sengo (played by Yoshioka Ryu) to go fishing, and he happily agrees. However, to Aoyanagi's surprise, Morita seems to have lured him into a trap. On that day, Prime Minister Kinda (played by Ito Fumio), who was inspecting his hometown Sendai, is killed in a bombing, and Aoyanagi becomes the prime suspect. The police department's intelligence unit quickly sets up an extensive operation, and a mysterious force aware of the inside story is eager to eliminate Aoyanagi. With the help of friends and strangers, Aoyanagi is forced to flee for his life in the small city of Sendai, with “trust in others” being the only weapon he has… This film is adapted from Kōtarō Isaka's original work of the same name.
