Young man Harusaka Nobuyuki (played by Yuta Tamamori) accidentally clicked on a blog named "The Country of Rain Trees" while browsing the web, and thus he met the blog's administrator, Hitomi (played by Maria Nishinari). Coincidentally, Hitomi is not only of a similar age to Nobuyuki but also lives in the same city. As a result, the two began exchanging emails, and their feelings rapidly intensified. Nobuyuki is eager to meet this like-minded friend in real life, but Hitomi hesitates because she has a secret—she suffers from sensorineural hearing loss. Unable to resist Nobuyuki's persistence, Hitomi finally meets him, albeit with a nervous heart. However, their first date does not go perfectly; Hitomi's strange behaviors frustrate Nobuyuki, and eventually, he loses his temper and snaps at her, prompting Hitomi to reveal the hearing aid she wears on her ear.
