Yuriko, who runs a beauty salon in Sapporo, embarks on a winter trip with her lover, high school teacher Sugino. She intended to end her relationship with Sugino on this trip. When Sugino pressed her for reasons, she revealed that she was pregnant and that this was the end of her love for him. In contrast, Sugino's feelings for Yuriko intensified.
