Yuko, who dreams of entering art school, takes advantage of her summer vacation to attend a short painting course away from home. She stays at the home of her mother Chiyo's old friend Haruko Aoyama, where she meets Haruko's son Riku, Haruko's friend Akiko, and her boyfriend Sora.
