In the late 1920s, Xiuzhen (played by Zhang Min) and her husband Lin Tianxiang participated in the revolution under the influence of Zheng Congyi. After the main forces of the Red Army moved north, Zheng's youngest son Xiaolong (played by Li Ping) also headed to the front lines to fight. Xiuzhen and Wu Hongying were captured while leading the masses in their escape. In a life-or-death moment, Hongying jumped with an enemy in her arms, and miraculously survived. Under the wreckage, Hongying discovered Lin Tianxiang's daughter, Xiaofang (played by Ye Lifei). Over a decade later, Xiaofang (played by Yin Da) grew into an excellent guerrilla fighter, while Xiaolong changed his name to Zheng Yunlong and became a grassroots cadre in the army. In 1947, Liu and Deng's army advanced into Dabieshan, and Zheng Yunlong along with Lin Tianxiang, now a division commander, returned to their long-lost hometown, filled with mixed emotions. The local guerrilla leader was Wu Hongying from back then, and she was very happy to see the troops returning. At this moment, Lin Tianxiang did not yet know that Xiaofang was his long-lost daughter. How far is the day of their reunion?
