A wealthy man passes away, donating the majority of his fortune to various charities, leaving only a mansion in Maine to his domineering stepdaughter, Kerrigan Crittenden (Cathy Moriarty). This mansion, known as Whipstaff Manor, has a long history and is now in a state of disrepair, making it uninhabitable. Initially furious, Kerrigan learns that there might be hidden treasures within the mansion and eagerly goes there with her lawyer, Dibbs (Eric Idle). What they do not expect is that the mansion is also inhabited by four ghosts. With the treasure in sight, the greedy individuals will stop at nothing to drive the ghosts away... This film won the 1996 Young Artist Award for Best Performance by a Young Actor (Christina Ricci) and the 1996 Young Artist Award for Best Voice Performance (Malachi Pearson).
