Over seventy years old, Ryūsan Takahashi (played by Ryuhei Matsuda) was once a famous gangster leader, but now he has fallen from grace, living in his son Ryōhei's (played by Masanobu Katsumura) home, and enduring various criticisms from his children. Perhaps reminiscing about his passionate youth drives Ryūsan to reconnect with old friends, including Akira (played by Masao Komatsu), Bōkyō Mōki (played by Akira Nakao), gunslinger Mark (played by Tōru Shinagawa), cane-wielding Ichimi (played by Tsutomu Hiraoka), five-inch nail Akiyuki (played by Kōjun Itō), and razor Akinori (played by Ken Yoshizawa).
