This historical drama depicts the Battle of Saragarhi in 1897. The focus of the film is on Havildar Ishar Singh, who was stationed at one of the three forts in the Samana Mountains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along the India-Afghanistan border. After disobeying orders to rescue an Afghan girl from religious extremists, he was transferred to the Saragarhi fort, which served as an information relay station. The Afghan militants used this excuse to attempt to capture all three forts, starting with the Saragarhi fort. Havildar Ishar Singh led a platoon of 21 Sikhs to fight against over 10,000 Afghan invaders, fiercely delaying their assault and thwarting their scheme to seize all three forts.
